Manchester Prize

The Manchester Prize is a challenge prize organised by the UK Department for Science, Innovation, and Technology that awards £1 million annually to teams working on AI solutions for the public good.

The competition aims to harness AI technology to tackle challenges like decarbonization, energy efficiency, emergency response improvement and infrastructure resilience enhancement.

Up to ten finalist teams receive £100,000 each, non-financial support, and free computing power to develop their innovations, with one team winning the £1 million grand prize in early 2025.
